Low VOC emissions protect the environment

New silanes have been introduced to the market which reduce the VOC emissions during the manufacturing of the compounds.

This has been achieved with a modified molecular structure. The mercapto silane Si 363®, decreases the potential emissions by 80 % and reduces the rolling resistance of tires by a further15% compared to standard silane systems.

Rolling resistance reduction and hence reduced fuel consumption and drastically lower VOC emission during processing protect the environment.
