Find the right rubber silane

All sulfur-functional silanes from Evonik Industries are available in liquid form, some are also available as dry blend with carbon black or as a prereacted silica compound (COUPSIL^®). Monofunctional silanes round off the product range due to their hydrophobising properties, these facilitate processing with mixtures containing silica.

Silanes are liquid products that are either added to the rubber compound in weighed amounts or dosed directly (injected) into the mixer.more

Silane-/Carbon Black blends

Handling liquid silanes requires special conditions in the mixing plant, which do not exist everywhere. Therefore, to simplify handling, the most important silanes are also available in a solid form blended with carbon black (N 330 grade) in a ratio of 1:1.more

COUPSIL®

Our COUPSIL^® range offers a different form of “solid” silanes. These are precipitated silicas that have already reacted with silane and are much easier to handle and process in either powder or granule form.more

COFILL® 11

COFILL^® 11 is an adhesion promoter that is used together with a formaldehyde donator such as hexamethylene tetramine (Hexa-K) and silicas in systems for steel cord adhesion or adhesion on textile cords.more
