Reduction of VOC emissions

Nowadays, new silanes are introduced into the market reducing the VOC emissions by a modified molecular structure. The mercapto silane VP Si 363®, originally developed to reduce the rolling resistance of tires, decreases the potential emissions by 80 %.

This benefits the environment, and takes the pressure of having to control VOCs in the mixing process of tire manufacturers: downstream burners and scrubbers are now being replaced by a material solution that allows the tire as end product to meet rising environmental standards
